The Power of 5....$$$$$

I know you can't hear it right now, but I've got a song in my head by Young MC  from the early 90's called "Bust A Move".  And I could be a run-way model strutting down the cat walk to that song in the dress I just bought.  It wasn't because it was the color of deep love or decorated with a band of gold and bronze colored sequins but because I felt like "BAM!!"  Straight out of an old Batman and Robin comic book with the words flying through the air.  Or even like a "Smooth Criminal" when I practically stole that dress for a mere $5.00.  But hey, it wasn't my fault it was so cheap.  I just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
Think about it!  I just bought a dress for the same cost of a double whopper with cheese from Burger King.  AND.... it looks better on me.  The rich colors make my skin glow instead of the abdominal pudge and greasy skin complexion that is sure to happen after you "have it your way".  The funny thing is, I wasn't even looking.  It just popped out at me like a psychotic jack-in-the-box.  So who am I to deny myself the opportunity to dress for less.   Well, I've denied myself many times but when it's your season, it all fits.  And it FIT.  I didn't even have to try the dress on to know that it was my size.  It's hard enough finding the right size clothing when I'm so tall and under weight ( by the doctors standards ).  Who's keeping track anyway?  Okay, honestly I do, about every other day I'm checking my weight because I hate being so thin so when I find an outfit that makes me feel great just the way I am, AND it's within my financial range, I have to buy it.....okay, I don't have to buy it but if feels gooooood when I do.  Five dollars hasn't gone far for many years.  It's kind of like that quiet person who never speaks but when they do, every body is amazed at what they have to say.  This week, the power of Five made a strong statement.  I think it said "I can get'r done"

There's  not a whole lot to say about this deal.  Except that it was Fabulous.   And what better to wear it with than Tear Drop earrings and a pair of Gold leather high heels.  The only problem is that at present, I don't have anywhere to wear it.  But like I said before, "make an ordinary day extraordinary when you wear something unexpected".  Maybe I'll take my own advice.  Tomorrow seems promising.   It's the perfect dress to wear with a little cool in the air and sunlight in your hair.
